 (The Hare and the Hound)

A Hound started a Hare from his lair, but after a long run, gave up the chase. A goat-herd seeing him stop, mocked him, saying “ The little one is the best runner of the two”. The Hound replied, “ You do not see the difference between us : I was only running for a dinner, but he for his life.”
This Tale taught that :  Incentive spurs effort

สุนัขเริ่มล่ากระต่ายจากถ้ำของมัน แต่หลังจากที่วิ่งอยู่นาน ก็ล้มเลิกการไล่ล่า คนเลี้ยงแพะเมื่อเห็นเจ้าสุนัขหยุด ก็หัวเราะเยาะ พูดว่า “ระหว่างพวกเจ้า ผู้ที่ตัวเล็กคือผู้วิ่งที่ดีที่สุด” สุนัขตอบว่า“เจ้าไม่เห็นความแตกต่างระหว่างเรา ฉันวิ่งเพียงแค่ได้มื้อค่ำ แต่เขาวิ่งเพื่อรักษาชีวิตของเขา”
